In 2009 I set up a football team, it had one aim and focus, raise money for Cancer Care, in terms of football we
had a poor season, but our club against all odds and the financial issues raised a fantastic £2800 for Cancer
Care. We are now into our second season and already have raised £2200, this has been done by a club 2011
calendar and the players donating subs each week. We are the only club in the country to be set up like this
and I am very proud of our efforts. This year the club has grown and become more well known, we have also
just recently won a national competition with the News of the World which game our club a premier league
make over for this season. We have appeared in the paper and they are also following our progress this
season. Last year the team took part in a charity football match against York City which boosted the funds

like to make the event bigger and smash last years figure. The game we are planning is to bring down the
curtain on our Premier Lifestyle season and to be the curtain raiser for our new season, where we have
decided to support not only Cancer Care, but also Help for Heroes and a local Childrens hospital. My aim is to
raise well over £10,000 for the 3 charities, which is an immense total, but I believe with the right event and
support we can make that happen.
Details of the Event
We are planning to play a charity football match along with another local club, playing against a past Leeds Utd 11/Celeb or past pro's, and a team from the soap program Emmerdale farm or Hollyoakes. Basically there will be 4 teams playing, local team v Celeb team and the winner of each game will be in a penalty shoot out to decide the winner. We hope to have around 2,000+ people watching. Then we are to hold an after party at the Riley Smith Hall in Tadcaster which will hold approx. 1000 people (ther is also a VIP section for the Celebs, with a free bar and food).

I take great pride in what the team have done and my aim is to continue to grow the club and make it something extra special that makes a difference to peoples life's. We are looking to hold the event in July 2011. The Game would be played at Tadcaster Albion's Stadium in Tadcaster West Yorkshire and the after party at the Riley Smith Hall in Tadcaster.
This event would not only help raise thousands for 3 amazing charities - Marie Curie Cancer Care - Help for Heroes - And Guardian Angels (York Childrens Ward), but would also help our club push what we do and hopefully get other teams to follow our lead . It would help raise the profile and generate more support. I truely beleive more teams at grassroots level could follow our lead and choose a charity to support and help others while enjoying the beautiful game.

To make this event special and have the WOW factor we need to have a headliner band for the after party, but also a team of stars for the Football game. Would you be able to help put a team together of Celebs and past pros and maybe take part in the event. Having a name like yours and a team selected by you will help boost the gate and give the event the first wow factor. We can arrange for a hotel stay and offer VIP room at the after party, where you can all enjoy the music, from the VIP balcony upstairs, looking down onto the stage. There will also be free booze and food for the players. The event is to be on the 23rd July 2011. Would you be interested in helping and putting together a select XI to take on one of our teams? - I would like to put a match on, that Tadcaster could have only dreamed about seeing and bring everyone in the community together to watch the team of stars.
This football club is my passion, everytime someone says it is not possible, I want to prove them wrong, and show with dedication and desire, you can make the impossible, possible. I work a full time job running a company, however in my spare time I love to raise money for charity. I believe this is my calling in life and I would love to put on an event that has a major WOW factor.
