Many thanks to eveyone who attended Foxtonbury 2011, we hope you all had a
fantastic time, the event was a huge success and managed to raise a lot of
money for charity. As of the 30th September the total raised for Charity was
£5782.55 and this will be split between the Marie Curie, Help for Heroes, The
Arsenal teams Charity and Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo's
Cervical Cancer Trust.
Glidden Trade kindly came in at the last minute as the main sponsor and saved
the event! They were very generous and donated thousands of pounds to cover the
cost of the stage and production of the event. Which meant we were able to
donate a great deal of money to charity. It was fantastic to see everyone out there
and we hope you enjoyed the football to. Arsenal showed what a quality team
they were and well and truly trounced the Fox Lads 8-0, even though they were
hung-over they still produced quality football....just imagine what they could have
done sober!! The second game was a lot better for the Fox FC, as they ran out
5-4 Winners over the Foxtonbury All Star Team. It was a tough game, but I think
the beer had got out of the system which enabled the team to play better football.
Ralf little and the Arsenal boys were true gents and it was a
privilege to have them there, we thank them for travelling all
the way from London to show us how football should be played.
It was a fantastic effort by everyone and we would just like to
finish by thanking Tadcaster Albion Football club for letting us
host the event from their ground. It was a fantastic venue and
we really appreciate the clubs help and support.
